Hunt Rocket Arena Troubleshooting

Unstick eggs, KOs, and the Brick-Blast Jetpack claim before the Sep 28 deadline.

Hunt Troubleshooting

The Hunt: Roblox 20 2008 Rocket Arena challenge is straightforward on paper — paint 10 eggs, score 5 KOs, claim the Brick-Blast Jetpack — but lobby quirks, visual bugs, and wrong-place joins leave a lot of players stuck at 9/10 or staring at an empty tree. This page is the fix-it guide. Use it beside Hunt Egg Locations, the Egg Checklist, and Brick-Blast Jetpack.

Event window reminder: The Hunt runs roughly September 17 – September 28, 2026, ending around 10 AM PT on September 28. Softlocks waste real calendar time. Fix the counter, then finish. Full event briefing: Hunt: Roblox 20.

Confirm you are in the right places

Before blaming a bug, verify the session path:

  1. Hub: The Hunt: Roblox 20
  2. Finish 2006 and 2007, then touch the Mysterious Cube in 2007 to unlock 2008.
  3. In the 2008 lobby, talk to Person299 near the Rocket Arena portal for the paintgun / egg quest.
  4. Paint eggs in that lobby. Combat KOs happen after the Rocket Arena portal into Classic place 25415.
  5. Claim back in the 2008 lobby at the tree / pedestal near Person299 — not inside the arena mid-fight.

Joining only the everyday Build N Blox remake (universe 1754158133) will not advance Hunt eggs or the jetpack claim. Remake vs Classic vs Hunt differences: Remake vs Classic.

Paintgun not painting / eggs not counting

Most common cause: you walked into the egg or stood on it without shooting the paintgun. The Hunt tracker expects paint shots. Touching alone does not count.

Fix checklist

  1. Re-talk to Person299 if you somehow lost the quest state.
  2. Equip the paintgun on the hotbar (also called paintball / Paintgame tool in community talk).
  3. Aim at the egg and fire until the counter ticks.
  4. Stop moving for a beat on mobile so the shot registers (Mobile Tips).
  5. Glance at the counter after every egg before sprinting to the next landmark.

If the gun is missing from the hotbar, leave and rejoin the 2008 lobby, talk to Person299 again, and confirm the tool appears before you resume the route on Hunt Egg Locations.

Visual recolor bug (egg looks unchanged but may still count)

Some eggs do not visibly recolor after a successful paint shot. The model can look identical while the Hunt counter still advances. Do not assume “it looks the same, so it failed.”

What to do

  • Watch the quest / egg counter, not the egg’s material color.
  • If the counter rose, mark it done on the Egg Checklist and move on.
  • If the counter did not rise, shoot again from a clearer angle, then rejoin if it still refuses.

Ship eggs and bar / underground eggs are commonly reported as fussy. Give them extra shots and a rejoin before you burn twenty minutes hunting a “missing” eleventh egg that does not exist.

Counter stuck at 9/10 or lower

When the UI will not hit 10/10:

  1. Re-run the full landmark loop from Hunt Egg Locations — especially the underground bar near the red fort and the western snowy rocky platform.
  2. Soften the Trowel egg search: check behind / under the giant Trowel to the right of the Rocket Arena portal, not only one camera angle underneath.
  3. Reshoot eggs that never visually changed; treat the counter as truth.
  4. Rejoin the 2008 lobby if ship or bar eggs stay dead. Many stuck counters clear after a fresh session.
  5. Confirm you are not mixing remake exploration with Hunt lobby eggs.

Do not skip to KOs hoping the egg meter will auto-complete. Both meters are required for the claim.

KO progress stuck / not counting

Hunt knockouts must happen in the event-linked Rocket Arena reached from the 2008 portal (Classic place 25415 in the Hunt flow). Practice KOs in the Build N Blox remake do not substitute for event credit.

Fix checklist

  1. Enter through the 2008 lobby portal, not a random search result with a similar name.
  2. Focus on eliminating other players with rockets and lava pressure — see Knockout Tips.
  3. After each KO, watch the Hunt KO meter before celebrating.
  4. If the meter never moves after several clear eliminations, leave to the 2008 lobby and re-enter the portal (session desync).
  5. Avoid turning the five-KO requirement into a rumor hunt. Stick to verified opponent knockouts and map pressure; do not rely on unverified self-KO shortcuts.

Warm up jetboots and aim on the remake if you want, then switch back to the Hunt portal when you are ready for credit (Controls, Jetboots).

Claim missing at the tree

The Brick-Blast Jetpack (official catalog name — not “Brick Black”) claims at the tree / pedestal near Person299 in the 2008 lobby after 10/10 eggs and 5/5 KOs. Catalog reference: Brick-Blast Jetpack.

If nothing appears

  1. Verify both meters are complete inside the Hunt UI.
  2. Make sure you returned to the 2008 lobby, not remaining only inside arena combat.
  3. Stand at the tree / pedestal beside Person299 and interact again.
  4. Rejoin the lobby once so the claim object can load.
  5. Confirm inventory after a successful prompt — full steps on Brick-Blast Jetpack.

Standing forever in the arena after five KOs will not auto-grant the UGC. The claim is lobby-side.

Mobile lag, touch misses, and hotbar mistakes

Mobile Hunt clears are common, but touch lag creates false “bugs”:

  • Paint shots miss because the camera dragged mid-tap — stop, then shoot.
  • Wrong tool equipped (rockets instead of paintgun) in the lobby.
  • Arena aim feels broken on crowded servers — lower graphics, shorten jetboot hops, fire from stable pads.
  • Deep mobile guidance: Mobile Tips and the mobile section on Controls.

If KOs are miserable on a phone, finish eggs on mobile, then switch to desktop or controller for the five eliminations when you can.

Rejoin tips that actually help

Rejoining is the blunt instrument that fixes half of Hunt softlocks:

  • Rejoin 2008 lobby when eggs refuse to register after correct shots.
  • Re-enter the arena portal when KO credit looks desynced.
  • After a long AFK, rejoin before painting the last eggs so the quest UI is fresh.
  • Keep the Egg Checklist open so a rejoin does not make you lose track of which landmarks you already cleared.

Deadline pressure without panic

You need both objective halves plus the lobby claim before roughly 10 AM PT on September 28, 2026. Prioritize unblocking counters over perfect routing. A messy 10/10 with rejoins still beats a clean route abandoned at 9/10. Event overview: Hunt: Roblox 20.

Shoot the eggs, trust the counter over the paint job, KO in the Hunt arena, claim at Person299’s tree, and rejoin when the lobby gets weird. That sequence clears more “bugs” than any rumor list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Rocket Arena, Hunt eggs, and knockouts.

Why is my egg counter not going up?

Equip the paintgun and shoot the egg. Walking into it does not count. If shots still fail, rejoin the 2008 lobby and retry stubborn ship or bar eggs.

The egg did not change color — is it broken?

Not necessarily. Some eggs never visually recolor even when the Hunt counter advances. Trust the counter, mark the checklist, and move on.

Where exactly is the Trowel egg?

Search behind and under the giant Trowel to the right of the Rocket Arena portal. Try more than one camera angle before assuming it is missing.

Why are my knockouts not counting for Hunt?

Use the Rocket Arena portal from the 2008 Hunt lobby (Classic place 25415 in the event flow). Remake-only KOs do not replace event credit.

I finished eggs and KOs but cannot claim the jetpack.

Return to the 2008 lobby tree or pedestal near Person299. Rejoin once if the claim object did not load, and confirm both meters read complete.

When does The Hunt end?

The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs about September 17–28, 2026, ending around 10 AM PT on September 28. Finish the claim before that window closes.
